The All American Rich Frosted Donut Ice Cream Sandwich
Ingredients
- 1 box of Entenmann's Rich Frosted Patriotic Donuts
- 1 quart of your favorite flavor of premium ice cream, slightly softened
- 1/2 cup red, white and blue sprinkles
Directions
- Line baking sheets with parchment paper or foil.
- Cut donuts horizontally in half using a serrated knife, and place open with coating/sprinkle side down on the lined baking sheets.
- Use a 2 1/2-inch ice cream scoop to drop the ice cream onto one side of each donut.
- Gently spread ice cream to edges.
- Top with remaining donut half.
- Press donuts together to cause ice cream to ooze to the edge.
- Roll the sides of the ice cream sandwiches in sprinkles, making sure the sprinkles stick.
- Place donuts on the baking sheet in the freezer until ready to serve, for at least a half an hour.
- Then you're ready to enjoy!
